  • Alexis Bittar

    CEO and Creative Designer

Alexis Bittar is a self-taught jewelry designer, who grew his business from its humble beginnings on the streets of New York City to a global company creating edgy and provocative designs that have earned him almost every award the fashion industry can bestow upon an accessories designer. Bittar bought his first block of Lucite® in 1990, and holed up in his East Village apartment figuring out how to hand carve it into the vision he had of jewelry that combined the luminosity of Lalique crystal with the durability of Bakelite. Over the years, Alexis has developed a large and varied fan base. Stylists regularly tap him to accessorize their high profile clients, or create one-of-a-kind, standout pieces for the likes of Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Madonna, Cameron Diaz as well as First Ladies including Michelle Obama, who included Alexis in her 50th birthday celebration at the White House. He has been repeatedly honored with awards, most notably the CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year (2010), the Accessories Council of Excellence (ACE) Award for Brand of the year (2014) and is currently nominated for a 2015 Gem Award.
