BENNETT DESIGN GROUP for JFK International Airport Terminal 5 Airspace Lounge

How can LuciteLux® help to relax customers at the airport?

A new concept lounge, Airspace, located in John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 5 in New York is designed to offer travelers a place to escape the waiting area rush and unwind in luxury. With a design focused on the young professional, the lounge offers an impressive food and beverage selection in a chic setting.

Airspace Lounge design collaborators, Bennett Design Group/Houston and Softroom Architects/London, knew drawing busy people into the space was a top priority. They used LuciteLux® Diffusion sheet as a modern accent wall to attract visitors who passed the lounge’s entrance, as well as for the bar’s focal backdrop. The welcoming, soothing effect demonstrates how efficiently LuciteLux® optimizes both natural and LED light.

“We found LuciteLux® catapulted our desire to have light (illusive) become a true element at the JFK Airspace Lounge. The design team wanted to illuminate, softly and evenly, an uninterrupted 25-foot long horizontal surface. LuciteLux® panels with their special technologies were able to beautifully carry the light which other products could not achieve with such a minimal light source”
